As we all know technology is becoming greater by the minute.... Important Info
Feburary 17th, 2011 a proposal was submitted to publish a book on Streaming Media with Peer-to-Peer Networks: Wireless Perspectives; a book edited by Dr. Martin Fleury and Dr. Nadia Qadri. The target audience would be wireless networks along with broadband access networks; researchers etc. One of the main issue stated the this security of this service.... at this point it is far from being safe. If everything goes well the final version is due on August 15th, 2011. Do you believe this will book sale and people would take advantage of this new technology? I believe it will; technology growth is huge right now and wireless networks are always looking for new inventions. 4G phones for example is a start for p2p networking and the communicate on internet mobile.

I would take advantage of being able to use P2P on my phone.
ReplyDeleteI think that technology is for sure moving in this direction quickly. I believe security is also very important, so this book is a great idea. I think that a book like this should also be written not only for researchers but for the users of the technology. This version of the book would explain the security of the technology in a way that anyone could understand.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jenna. I think the book will sale just based upon the information it would provide. I probably would not buy this book personally but it is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jenna as well. If the book was written in a way people who are not computer geniuses could understand, I think a good deal of people would purchase this.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if over time as technology develops faster and almost everyone has smart phones, if p2p internet phone calls will decrease and almost elimintae the need for minutes on a cell phone plan.
ReplyDeleteI think it all depends on the ease of use and compatibility with the technology that will be using it. With most P2P though, security will be a big issue and could be a deterrent for a lot of people.
